Meet Our Team

Nancy McCormick

Physical Therapist

How Long with BHPT: 8 years

Education:
Ithaca College BS in PT

PT Background/Interest
Initially after graduating from IC I worked at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center and had the opportunity to see/treat patients with many “usual” and “unusual” diagnoses. Working at Columbia certainly stirred my curiosity into delving deeply into how our body’s system intermingle and learned that a therapist really needs to look at the person as a whole, not as individual parts. Think, the old song “ the hip bone is connected to the thigh bone”, etc.

Well through my journey in PT I have continued to learn this concept extends to all populations including orthopedics. To this end I have taken many continuing education courses ranging from neurological, orthopedic, myofascial release/manual therapy techniques, spine care, sports and running.

I currently am a Level 2 MELT Method Instructor, IASTM Certified Practioner and Champion Performance Specialist merging the worlds of connective tissue, neuromuscular performance and orthopedic therapy to optimize a person’s functional recovery.
